According to information from the press service of JSC "National Electric Network of Kyrgyzstan", in 2026, 390 thousand smart meters will be installed for consumers across the country. This project is being implemented with the support of the World Bank.
The distribution of meters by regions and Bishkek is as follows:
- Bishkek – 91,210;
- Chui Region – 89,129;
- Osh Region – 68,242;
- Batken Region – 54,997;
- Jalal-Abad Region – 71,546.
Moreover, the implementation of this system will allow for effective management of electricity consumption, which will contribute to the rational use of resources.
