This year, spring fieldwork in Kyrgyzstan began two weeks earlier than usual. This was reported by Turatbek Idrisov, head of the department for implementing decisions in the field of crop production and horticulture at the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, during a broadcast on "Birinchi Radio".

According to Idrisov, the reason for the early start of work is the warm winter and early spring. He also noted that farmers were advised in advance to prepare for the new season, including water-saving measures, soil treatment, and the purchase of seeds and fertilizers.

However, in the southern regions, the pace of the sowing campaign is slowing down due to rainy weather. In particular, in the Osh region, 500 hectares of barley and wheat have already been sown.

According to the department's information, the seed supply level is 87 percent. Seed farms and warehouses of large companies have sufficient seed reserves, and 28,000 tons of fertilizers have also been imported. Supplies are ongoing.

For the implementation of the work, 7 million liters of fuel and lubricants have been allocated at a preferential price of 74 soms per liter. Fuel can be obtained through the district agricultural development offices, as the official explained.
