During the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh on March 11, Deputy Aigul Karabekova noted that there is only one factory in Kyrgyzstan producing syringes, capable of manufacturing up to 500,000 units of product per year.

However, according to her, out of the 1.6 million syringes needed for state hospitals in 2025, only 1.4% were purchased from this domestic manufacturer. "This means that financial resources are going abroad," she added.

In response to this statement, President Japarov reminded that 4-5 years ago, when Alimkadir Beishenaliev was the Minister of Health, the enterprise was provided with an interest-free loan. He instructed the current Minister Damirbek Osmonov to check the situation and find out the reasons for the low purchases of syringes from the factory.

The President emphasized: "We must support our producers. Our goal is to minimize imports. If previously the ratio of imports to exports was 70% to 30%, now it is 65% to 35%. Even if a complete cessation of imports is impossible, we must strive for a balance of these indicators," he addressed the deputies and government members.

Additionally, he urged fish farmers to purchase feed from the factory in Kara-Balta.
