The large-scale stocking is aimed at preserving biodiversity and developing local fisheries.
In the Naryn region, a mass release of young fish took place in the Orto-Tokoy Reservoir. The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry reported that 1.2 million young sturgeon fry were released into the water body.
According to the ministry, the average weight of each fry was 0.45 grams. The main goal of this ecological initiative is to restore fish stocks and maintain biological balance in the reservoir's waters.
The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry noted that such measures contribute to the sustainable development of the country's fisheries.
