Tax benefits for fish farms in the Kyrgyz Republic extended until the end of 2026

The Government of the Kyrgyz Republic has decided to extend the zero rate of value-added tax (VAT) for feed used in fish farms. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture, indicating that the relevant amendments to the resolution on measures to ensure food security have already been approved.

According to the new rules, the preferential regime will be in effect until December 31, 2027. The zero VAT rate will apply to specialized feeds for agricultural fish, designated by the codes TN VED 2309 90 1000, 2309 90 3100, and 2309 90 9609. It is important to note that this benefit will only apply if the feed is supplied directly from the producer to the fish farming enterprises.

This support measure is expected to help domestic producers reduce the costs of maintaining fish farms. This should contribute to an increase in the production volumes of local fish and stabilize prices in the market for this product.

Additionally, it is worth noting that item 2 of the list of goods with a zero VAT rate has lost its validity. The new changes will take effect one week after the official publication of the document.
