The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry reported that another batch of seedlings from Uzbekistan did not pass inspection at the border. At the "Kyzyl-Kiya" checkpoint in the Batken region, it was found during a phytosanitary inspection that 82,830 seedlings lacked the necessary labeling.
The agency clarified that according to the resolution of the Eurasian Economic Commission Council, adopted on November 30, 2016, under number 157, each package of quarantine products must contain information about the name, country of origin, and exporting country.
The absence of this labeling was deemed a violation of the general phytosanitary requirements of the EAEU, which led to the cargo being returned to the importing country.
It should be noted that in February and March of this year, Kyrgyzstan already returned similar batches of seedlings imported from Uzbekistan.
