According to data from the National Statistical Committee, the number of passengers transported by all modes of transport in Kyrgyzstan since the beginning of the current year has exceeded 116 million.
From January to February, passenger traffic increased by 6 million 3 thousand compared to the same period in 2025.
In two months, 116 million 66.4 thousand passengers were transported within the country, which corresponds to a growth of 5.5 percent. Traditionally, road transport bears the greatest load:
Freight Transportation
In the freight transportation sector, 9 million 181.5 thousand tons of goods were delivered, which is 7.1 percent more than in 2025. At the same time, the volume of air freight transportation decreased by 18.9 percent, while road transport increased by 8.1 percent.
The logistics sector is showing significant growth: the volume of postal and courier services increased by 28.5 percent, amounting to 475 million soms. Communication services brought the economy 6.7 billion soms in two months, which is 8.5 percent more than last year.
At the same time, the cost of transport services has increased by 3.5 percent amid inflation, which is associated with the introduction of tolls for important tunnels on the Bishkek — Osh and north — south routes.
