The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, through the Department of Chemicalization, Plant Protection, and Quarantine, has announced the start of corn exports to China.

The first shipment, consisting of 25 tons of corn, was sent on March 16. The exporter was the farming enterprise "Ziyabidin Ata".

This export became possible thanks to a protocol signed on September 15, 2022, which defines the phytosanitary requirements for corn exported from Kyrgyzstan to China. The document was signed between the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan and the General Administration of Customs of China.

Currently, two domestic enterprises have received the right to export corn to China. This event highlights the targeted work of the department to strengthen the country's export capabilities and comply with international phytosanitary standards.

The Department will continue to support local producers, aiming to increase the presence of Kyrgyz agricultural products in international markets.
