According to information provided by the Department of Chemicalization, Plant Protection, and Quarantine under the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, the export of corn from Kyrgyzstan to China has begun.

The press service of the department reported that on March 16, the first batch of 25 tons was shipped. The export was handled by the farming enterprise "Ziyabidin Ata".

The export became possible due to the signing of the Protocol on Phytosanitary Requirements concerning corn shipped from the Kyrgyz Republic to the People's Republic of China, which was officially signed on September 15, 2022, between the Ministry of Water Resources and Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic and the General Administration of Customs of China.

Currently, two domestic enterprises have received permission to export corn to China.
