Alice Weidel: One company goes bankrupt in Germany every 20 minutes

The economic situation in Germany has reached a critical point, threatening the existence of small and medium-sized businesses, as stated by Alice Weidel, co-chair of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, in her speech in the Bundestag, TASS reports.

Weidel emphasized that the current government policy is leading to the destruction of the economy. "Every 20 minutes, one of the German companies declares bankruptcy. People are losing confidence in tomorrow and are worried about their jobs and the future of their children," she noted, addressing Chancellor Friedrich Merz.

In her address, the co-chair of the AfD highlighted the issues of energy security. She pointed out the need for reliable energy supply amid instability in the Middle East and criticized financial support for Ukraine.

"Are you really going to continue sending billions to one of the most corrupt countries in the world, supporting a hopeless conflict? Is this in Germany's interest?" she asked.

As a solution to the current problems, Weidel proposed rethinking foreign policy, starting a dialogue with Russia to end the military actions, and initiating the resumption of gas supplies through the "Nord Stream."
