
An important investment agreement regarding the construction of small hydroelectric power plants "Sokuluk HPP-3" and "Tuyuk HPP" was signed in Bishkek. These projects will be implemented on the Sokuluk River and its tributaries in the Sokuluk district of the Chui region.
The document was signed between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the company OsOO "Sokuluk HPP-3". From the government, the agreement was signed by Ravshanbek Sabirov, who heads the National Investment Agency, while the company's CEO Nurbek Chiltenov signed on behalf of the company.
The construction will take place in stages. The first stage involves the construction and commissioning of hydroelectric power plants on the Sokuluk and Tuyuk rivers with a total installed capacity of 15.6 MW.
Subsequent stages consider the possibility of adding new hydroelectric power plants on the Akpai and Ashutor rivers, which could increase the total capacity to 21 MW.
The initial investments for the first stage will be at least 1.5 billion soms, and if the expanded project is implemented, the investment amount could reach 2.3 billion soms.
