Kyrgyzstan and CSCEC consider joint projects


Recently, Ravshanbek Sabirov, head of the National Investment Agency under the President of Kyrgyzstan, held a meeting with representatives of the China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC). The main topic of discussion was the prospects for joint implementation of various infrastructure and investment projects in the country.

According to the agency, the focus was on the modernization and construction of transport infrastructure, including roads, bridges, and railways. Issues related to the development of energy facilities, utility systems, as well as real estate projects and integrated urban development were also addressed. A separate discussion covered aspects of implementing "green" technologies and digitalization.

CSCEC representatives shared their international experience, including participation in the "Belt and Road" initiative, and discussed possible formats for cooperation with the Kyrgyz side. During the negotiations, mechanisms for public-private partnerships, such as PPP, BOT, and EPC, were considered.

The CSCEC delegation was led by Tian Qian, General Director of the Infrastructure Construction Division, as well as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Zhongjiang Infrastructure Construction and Development LLC.

Ravshanbek Sabirov emphasized that Kyrgyzstan is interested in attracting strategic partners for the implementation of infrastructure projects, the introduction of modern technologies, and the improvement of infrastructure quality.

The first meeting between the parties took place in Beijing during the visit of the Kyrgyz delegation, and the current meeting of CSCEC representatives in Kyrgyzstan is a continuation of previously reached agreements.

As a result of the discussions, the parties expressed their readiness for long-term investment cooperation and joint development of specific projects.
