In Kyrgyzstan, fish farmers demand tax reductions and the removal of export barriers
Kyrgyz trout is on the verge of entering the international market. Recently, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture Erlis Akunbekov visited fish farms in the Chui region, including "Premium" and "Pura." The main outcome of this trip was that the local feed produced by "Tian-Shan Trout" has already surpassed European counterparts in effectiveness and contains no chemical additives.

The minister emphasized the importance of creating a strong national brand and the need to reduce dependence on imports. His idea is to produce all products, including feed and caviar, which will help stabilize prices and ease the work of entrepreneurs.

During a meeting with business representatives, current issues were discussed candidly. Fishermen openly spoke about high land taxes, export barriers, and the lack of modern laboratories. In response, Akunbekov instructed government agencies not to delay decisions and to develop specific measures to reduce the tax burden and eliminate bureaucratic obstacles. The industry is expected to undergo significant changes with a focus on international markets.
