Since March 23, the Grand Prix Asia tournament has started in Tashkent, featuring representatives from over 50 countries. Kyrgyzstan is represented by 12 athletes at this tournament.
As part of the event, there will be an main tournament for long backgammon, as well as competitions for short backgammon, pair matches, women's tournaments, and master classes.
The total prize pool of the tournament exceeds 500 thousand US dollars.
After five rounds of the main tournament for long backgammon, out of 120 participants, 60 of the strongest remain in the competition. Among those remaining are 8 athletes from Kyrgyzstan, while four of them have completed their performances.
