The meeting held between the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev and the President of the Asian Development Bank Masato Kanda discussed important aspects of Kyrgyzstan's cooperation with the ADB. The current economic situation in the country was discussed, as well as the National Development Program until 2030, and issues related to the climate agenda and the energy sector.

Adylbek Kasymaliev noted that the economy of the Kyrgyz Republic is demonstrating significant growth due to a comprehensive approach to the development of key sectors over the past few years.

“Over the past three years, the average economic growth rate has been 9.0%. Since the beginning of this year, high economic activity has been maintained, and for ten months of 2025, GDP growth has reached 10.0%,” emphasized the head of the Cabinet of Ministers.

The new National Development Program of the Kyrgyz Republic until 2030 focuses on sustainable economic growth, improving the quality of life of citizens, and developing key sectors. Four main directions have been identified: industrialization, the creation of a regional hub, agriculture and tourism, as well as green energy. The parties also discussed bilateral cooperation in these areas.

As a result of the meeting between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Asian Development Bank, several agreements were signed, including a program for the green transformation of public buildings, expanding access to energy-efficient and affordable housing, as well as increasing the resilience of water resources to climate change and natural disasters.
