The ceremony was attended by the mayor of Manas, Ernisbek Ormokov, the chairman of the city council, Nurtilek Bolotov, as well as a delegation from Turkey led by the deputy governor of Ankara, Izzettin Sevgili. Students from local educational institutions were also present at the event.
As part of the celebration, a theatrical performance was presented, reflecting the historical friendship and cultural ties between the two nations, and traditional musical pieces from the Kyrgyz and Turkish peoples were performed.
Ernisbek Ormokov, in his speech, emphasized the importance of establishing friendly relations with Ankara and noted that cooperation in the fields of tourism, culture, education, and local self-government would create new opportunities for mutually beneficial partnerships.
Izzettin Sevgili, in turn, expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and invited the leadership of Manas for an official visit to Ankara.
In the concluding part of the event, the status of the tourist center of the Turkic world was officially transferred from Manas to Ankara, and a symbolic key was handed over from the mayor of Manas to the deputy governor of Ankara.

At the meeting of the heads of state of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in November 2023, the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, proposed declaring the city of Jalal-Abad the tourist capital of the Turkic world in 2025, as it is located on one of the branches of the Great Silk Road.
