In the "Our People Abroad" section, we present 21-year-old Bekzat Tajibaev, who currently lives in Dubai.

Bekzat was born in 2003 in Ak-Suu, located in the Leilek district of the Batken region. He is the eldest of three children in his family.

“I dreamed of traveling to Dubai since childhood. I prepared for this moment for two years: I studied English. In 2022, when I turned 18, I had an interview, and a year later, on my birthday, I found myself in Dubai. I started working as a waiter assistant, then became a sales consultant in a boutique of an Italian brand that serves an Anglo-Russian audience. I actively sought career opportunities and spent six months sending my resume to various companies. As a result, I managed to pass the competition for the position of elite sales consultant in one of the boutiques of a well-known French brand. For three months, I had to compete with other young professionals from different countries, and I succeeded. Working with the French brand, I quickly gained experience, and for that, I had to obtain a second profession — online logistics. Currently, I combine both professions. I live here with two friends, with whom I have been friends since childhood; we rent an apartment together,” he shared his impressions.

Bekzat also talked about his feelings about life in Dubai:

“The competition here is high in many areas. After three years of living in this city, you forget about winter. Dubai demands constant development from people. There are many ambitious individuals striving for high goals. However, one should not compare the UAE with Kyrgyzstan, where there are magnificent mountains, fragrant grass, and a clear sky. In Dubai, laws are strictly enforced. And although expatriates are respected as foreigners and there are special organizations to protect their rights, it is important not to violate local laws.”

He also recalled his first day after arriving in Dubai:

“I expected to be met in classic attire in a luxurious black car. But in reality, I was greeted by an Indian who had handwritten my name on a piece of paper. He said he would take me to the place where I would live. At that moment, a thought crossed my mind: what if he takes me to the desert, where I will take care of camels?” Bekzat enthusiastically recounted.
