Emirlan was born on May 14, 2000. He is married and raising a daughter.
“I am the eldest of three brothers in the family. Since early childhood, I have been passionate about kök börü. All my ancestors were ulakchi, including my grandfather and father, who also became famous in this national game of Kyrgyzstan. In 2017, I started playing at a higher level by participating in rural tournaments. The first teams I played for were 'Kök-Jal', 'Rassvet', 'Sary-Özön', and now I am in the 'Dostuk' team. I have participated twice in the World Nomad Games. We achieved victories in competitions dedicated to May 9, Independence Day, and other domestic championships of Kyrgyzstan. However, we have not yet managed to win competitions on Nauryz. In the recent district competitions, my team with young players from the Alamudun district became champions. Currently, I train with my younger brother and the sons of my older brother. I hope that in the upcoming nomad games we will achieve success again,” noted Emirlan.
He also shared his thoughts on the risks associated with this sport, livestock breeding, and his plans for the future.
“My family supports my passion for kök börü, as everyone knows about this sport. Of course, it is a dangerous activity, and an accident can happen at any moment. But, as they say, God protects the cautious — that’s how we act on the field. In addition to playing kök börü, I am engaged in livestock breeding.
We raise horses, cows, and sheep, which is our main source of income. In the future, I want to serve my homeland, take care of my loved ones, and raise worthy children, being useful to society. I also plan to participate in various kök börü competitions and glorify our country on the international stage.”
