Kanat Dautov, an electrician, works at an electricity supply company in the Jeti-Oguz district of the Issyk-Kul region. He is involved in the installation of new power lines, transformers, and meters. Last year, his team brought electricity to the new border crossing at Bedel, providing lighting along a stretch of about one kilometer. Electric poles were also installed along the new road. These days were particularly memorable for him as he gained valuable experience working in high-altitude conditions.

By delivering electricity to places where it was previously unavailable, Dautov feels proud of his profession. He believes that by bringing light and warmth to people's homes, he is fulfilling an important mission. Together with his colleagues, he also ensures stable electricity supply at major cultural events, such as the World Nomad Games, which is a significant international project for Kyrgyzstan.

Kanat recalls how in 2018, his team provided lighting for 40 yurts at the Kychyn pasture in just two days. Throughout the III World Nomad Games, they also maintained uninterrupted power supply to the yurts, strictly adhering to safety measures while servicing the main line.

Dautov and his team's work involves ensuring a stable electricity supply, which requires effort even in the harshest winter conditions and during snowstorms. He notes that early snow often leads to power outages, as wet snow can break tree branches that tear down wires. For instance, this year, the first snow arrived in mid-October, damaging the lines. While restoring the power lines, the team worked until two in the morning, despite the storm, as their main task is to restore light to people.

Kanat also emphasizes the importance of adhering to safety rules. He recounts instances where drivers crashed into electric poles in the dark. His team is always ready to respond to calls to restore electricity supply.

Working in remote mountainous areas, the staff assist not only in emergencies but also drivers who get stuck in the snow. For example, on January 24 of last year, they rescued a car that had gone off the road near the village of Kyzyl-Suu.

Currently, new technologies are being implemented in the energy sector, such as replacing wires with SIP lines and installing "smart" meters that simplify work and make it safer. Kanat notes that these wires are resistant to various weather conditions, preventing short circuits.

Kanat Dautov was born in 1994 in the village of Orgocor. He is the youngest of three brothers and graduated from Mambet Tynaev School in 2012. In 2016, he completed his studies at the Physics and Technology Faculty of Issyk-Kul State University, majoring in "electricity supply." For nine years, he has worked as an electrician in the Jeti-Oguz district electric networks and has received numerous awards and acknowledgments for his work.
Kanat emphasizes that success in his profession depends on a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical skills that he has acquired over the years, learning from more experienced specialists.
