At a meeting with local residents in Kemine, Tashiev announced plans to build solar power plants in 1,000 villages. He noted that the shortage of electricity in the country arose due to the opening of new large enterprises, which increases electricity consumption.

According to Tashiev, when his team came to power, the deficit was 2 billion kW, and now it has reached 4 billion kW. At the same time, the volume of generated energy increased from 15 to 19 billion kW, but expenses have also risen.

He added that he had recently held talks with investors ready to install solar stations with a capacity of 1 MW in the mentioned settlements.

“These stations will generate electricity for 6-7 hours a day and also provide it for two hours at night. Thus, on average, we will be able to receive electricity for 7-8 hours a day not only from hydro sources but also from solar energy,” said the head of the State National Security Committee.
