In Kyrgyzstan, a reform in the field of state print publications is currently being implemented. This decision was made as part of a decree by President Sadyr Japarov, aimed at developing state information policy and strengthening the printing infrastructure, as well as optimizing budget expenditures and maintaining the stable operation of state media.

As a result of the reform, a new publishing house "Kyrgyz Tuusu" has been established, which includes newspapers such as "Kyrgyz Tuusu" and "Slovo Kyrgyzstana," as well as the literary magazine "Ala-Too" and the children's magazine "Baichchekek." Meanwhile, the magazines "Kyrchyn" and "Zhetkinchek" have ceased to exist.

All publications that are now part of the new publishing house have been transferred to state funding.

In addition, the management structure has been optimized: the functions of administrative, financial, and technical management have been consolidated, a unified leadership and a common administrative apparatus have been introduced.

The Cabinet of Ministers is tasked with developing a charter, staffing schedule, and budget for the new institution. The standard staffing of organizations in the field of culture, art, and information will also be increased by 22 positions.
