Driver of the "Honda Stepwgn," who hit 3 schoolchildren at high speed and crashed into two cars in the village of Furkat, has been placed in a temporary detention facility.

In the village of Furkat, the driver of a "Honda Stepwgn" was detained after hitting three schoolchildren and two cars. As a result of the incident, the driver was placed in a temporary detention facility.

According to information provided by the press service of the Internal Affairs Department of the Osh region, on January 26 of this year, 25-year-old K. uulu M. from the rural district of Otuz-Adyr was driving his right-hand drive car at high speed, heading south from the north. At the pedestrian crossing, he struck the schoolchildren who were waiting for their parents.

After the collision, the "Honda Stepwgn" crashed into a "Daewoo Tico," which was parked. The driver of this vehicle was 32-year-old K. uulu U. from the village of Torgoy-Bulak. As a result of the impact, the "Daewoo" was pressed against a "Mercedes-Benz Atego 1217," driven by 28-year-old G. uulu T. from the village of Shibe. This created an emergency situation.

Five minors were injured. One of them is in a coma and connected to a ventilator. Doctors assess his condition as critical.

An examination has been ordered for the driver to check for alcohol in his blood. He is currently in a temporary detention facility.

It was previously reported that on January 27, in connection with this incident that occurred on January 26, medical workers and the school administration provided information about the condition of the injured. According to the director of school No. 101 named after K. Mombekova, Nurila Sydykova, three students from this school were injured as a result of the incident.

“Two of them are in the third grade, and their younger brother is in the second. The children came out after classes and were waiting for their parents. The driver was apparently intoxicated and hit the children at high speed. Parents were called immediately, and the injured were taken to the hospital. The older sister was sent home as her condition was stable, while the younger brother was hospitalized in intensive care. The condition of the third student is satisfactory,” the director shared.

The director of the Osh Interregional Children's Clinical Hospital, Zhyrgalbek Tolorov, reported that the condition of the children was satisfactory, and they were discharged home.

“Two children were taken to the emergency room by ambulance. After being examined by a traumatologist and undergoing X-rays, their condition was assessed as satisfactory, and they were released,” he added.

Two girls injured in the same accident were also sent to us from the combined clinical hospital. Both were examined and diagnosed with bruises. Their condition stabilized, and they were also discharged.

As for the boy in the second grade, his condition remains critical. He is in a coma and connected to a ventilator, and he has also been diagnosed with a broken leg and chest injuries.
