The Chief Imam-Khatib of the Sokuluk District has resigned from his position

In the Sokuluk district of the Chui region, a farewell ceremony was held for Ikram Yrysbaev, who left his position as the chief imam-khatib.

Present at the event was the representative of the Muftiate of Kyrgyzstan in the Chui region, Sulumbek Uzenaliev.

During the celebration, Ikram Yrysbaev was awarded the honorary title of "Honorary Chief Imam-Khatib" by the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan (DUMK), recognizing his many years of dedicated service.

Biography of Ikram Yrysbaev

From 2009 to 2015, he studied at the Faculty of "Arabic Language and Sharia" at the Islamic Institute "Rasul Akram" in Bishkek.

Work experience:

- From 1997 to 2003 — served as the chief imam-khatib of the Sokuluk district;

- From 2003 to 2009 — worked as the first deputy qazi in the Chui region;

- From 2013 to 2017 — was a member of the Council of Ulema of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan;

- From 2017 to 2025 — returned to the position of chief imam-khatib of the Sokuluk district.

Professional development:

- Participated in professional development courses conducted by the World Islamic University "Academy of Da'wah" from 08.01.2001 to 28.02.2001;

- Completed a 32-hour seminar organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic on the topic "Enhancing the Knowledge Level of Religious Workers";

- Participated in a three-day seminar on "Ways to Counter Movements Different from Ahli Sunnah wal Jama'ah";

- Attended a 7-day seminar on "Hanafi Madhhab and Maturidi Doctrine of Ahli Sunnah wal Jama'ah" (from 05.12.2016 to 11.12.2016);

- Participated in a seminar on "State Structure and Legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic," organized by the Academy of State Administration under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic (19.01.2022).
