Today, the press service of the president announced the appointment of Adilet Orozbekov as the Secretary of the Security Council of the Kyrgyz Republic. The corresponding decree was signed by President Sadyr Japarov.
Previously, this position was held by Rustam Mamasadykov.
Before his new appointment, Orozbekov served as the state inspector in the department of defense, law enforcement, and security of the office for the control of the execution of decisions of the president and the Cabinet of Ministers.
Biography:
Adilet Orozbekov was born in 1978. He graduated from the International University of Kyrgyzstan with a degree in "Diplomacy and International Law" and continued his education at the FSB Academy of the Russian Federation.
Orozbekov is fluent in Kyrgyz, Russian, and English.
He holds the class rank of 1st class advisor of the state civil service and the military rank of colonel.
Adilet's career began in 2001 in the national security agencies, where he worked in various positions, including leadership roles, until 2017.
From 2007 to 2009, he served as the deputy head of the department for the protection of the constitutional order of the State National Security Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic;
from 2009 to 2010, he was the head of the international cooperation department, then the deputy head of the department and head of the international cooperation department of the State National Security Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic;
from 2012 to 2017, he worked as a chief expert at the Anti-Terrorism Center of the State National Security Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic;
after 2017, he worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in the office of the national coordinator for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization;
from 2017 to 2019, he was a referent at the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Beijing;
from 2023 to 2024, he worked as an expert at the Situation Center of the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
