President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov signed a decree appointing Adilet Orozbekov as the Secretary of the Security Council. This information was provided by the press service of the country's president.
Adilet Orozbekov, born in 1978, is a graduate of the International University of Kyrgyzstan, where he studied diplomacy and international law. Additionally, he underwent training at the Academy of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation.
Orozbekov is fluent in Kyrgyz, Russian, and English.
He holds the class rank of 1st class advisor of the state civil service and the military rank of colonel.
He began his career in 2001, working in the national security agencies as an operational officer, and throughout his career held various positions, including leadership roles, until 2017.
From 2007 to 2009, he served as Deputy Head of the Department for the Protection of the Constitutional Order at the National Security Council of the Kyrgyz Republic;
from 2009 to 2010, he worked as the Head of the International Cooperation Department, and then held the position of Head of the Department at the State National Security Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic;
from 2012 to 2017, he was the Chief Expert of the Anti-Terrorism Center of the State National Security Committee;
after that, from 2017, he worked in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as in the office of the national coordinator for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization;
from 2017 to 2019, he was a referent in the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Beijing;
from 2023 to 2024, he worked as an expert in the Situational Center of the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic;
since December 2025, he has been a state inspector in the Department of Defense, Law and Order, and Security in the Office for Monitoring the Implementation of Decisions of the President and Government of the Kyrgyz Republic.
