According to the press service of the Osh region's Internal Affairs Department, a security guard was detained as a result of operational and preventive measures while performing his duties with a firearm in an intoxicated state.
Police officers collected the necessary materials, and a preliminary investigation has been initiated. A narcological examination has been appointed to determine the degree and type of intoxication.
The detention occurred as part of the "Arsenal" operation, which took place from February 12 to 14, 2026. The objectives of the raid included:
- preventing incidents involving firearms;
- identifying illegally stored weapons;
- conducting explanatory work with citizens about the inadmissibility of using weapons in everyday life.
In addition to the detention of the security guard, two firearms were seized during the raid. Safes containing 16 firearms were officially sealed due to the absence of their owners (12 citizens are currently outside the country).
Protocols were drawn up against three citizens for violating storage and re-registration rules, with a total fine amounting to 9,000 soms.
