The missile strike completely destroyed a girls' school in southern Iran

According to information provided by sources in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), a powerful strike led to the complete destruction of the educational institution. According to the Iranian Ministry of Health, the number of casualties among schoolchildren ranges from 150 to 160 people. Iranian authorities blame the armed forces of the United States and Israel for this attack, which occurred during a large-scale operation that began on the morning of February 28. The tragedy unfolded in the midst of the school day when many children were present in the building.

Against the backdrop of ongoing hostilities, the humanitarian situation in the country has significantly worsened. The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the Iranian Red Crescent report a severe shortage of medical supplies in hospitals in Tehran, Isfahan, and southern provinces overwhelmed with casualties. The work of rescue services is complicated by the near-total lack of internet and disruptions in mobile communication, hindering the coordination of emergency services. Human rights organizations, including the International Association of Democratic Lawyers (IADL), have sharply condemned the strikes on civilian objects, calling the attack on the school in Minab a gross violation of international humanitarian law and the UN Charter. They are calling for the establishment of humanitarian corridors for the evacuation of civilians and ensuring access for independent observers to the sites of destruction to verify the number of casualties.

The escalation of the conflict, including strikes on government institutions and nuclear facilities, is leading to a mass exodus of residents from major cities and paralyzing transportation systems. While Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu assert the "credibility" of information regarding the elimination of Supreme Leader Khamenei, the international community expresses concern over the impending humanitarian catastrophe in the region. The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the United States and Israel bear significant responsibility for the consequences of this crisis, especially in light of the fact that the strikes are occurring during diplomatic negotiations in Geneva. The situation is further complicated by the suspension of operations at major airports, including Dubai, as well as threats to block maritime routes in the Red Sea.
