During his working trip to the Naryn region on March 21, the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, familiarized himself with the plans for its development.

Nurbek Satarov, the presidential representative in the region, shared information about current initiatives in key sectors.

He noted the importance of developing irrigation infrastructure. In particular, a reservoir "Tugol-Sai" is being constructed in the Jumgal district, and "Shamshy" in the Kochkor district. Work is also underway on the "Kulanak" canal in the Naryn district. These projects aim to increase the area of irrigated lands and enhance agricultural efficiency.

Additionally, projects are being implemented to provide residents with clean drinking water. As part of various initiatives, dozens of settlements have gained access to water, achieving a coverage level of over 85% in the region.

In the construction sector, work is actively underway on the construction and renovation of social facilities such as schools, sports halls, and administrative buildings. Some of the facilities have already been commissioned, while others will be completed in the near future. Last year, 15 facilities were opened — six schools, one sports hall, and eight production enterprises. Currently, the construction of 46 facilities is ongoing.

Furthermore, new investment projects are being implemented in the region, including the construction of hydroelectric power stations, solar and wind power plants, aimed at developing energy potential and creating jobs.

Sadyr Japarov expressed support for the presented projects, noting that the development of the Naryn region should be comprehensive and results-oriented, with tangible changes for the local population in the near future.

The President emphasized the need to focus efforts on the development of irrigation and watering infrastructure, which is a key condition for ensuring food security and sustainable growth in the agricultural sector. He also instructed to complete previously initiated projects.

In the road construction sector, the task is set to maintain the volume of work on the construction and reconstruction of roads at last year's level, while adhering to established deadlines and quality standards.

The President also heard reports on long-term projects, including those that have been implemented for more than ten years. The head of state emphasized the necessity of strictly adhering to deadlines and instructed to complete all such projects within two years with the personal responsibility of the leaders.
