— From July 15 to 18, an auction was held for the construction of the resort town "Jyrgalan" as part of the "Ala-Tuu Resort" project, where 14 out of 49 proposed lots were sold. The total area of the sold plots amounted to 21,537 square meters, and their total cost reached 472 million 589 thousand 298 soms. All lots were purchased by local businessmen.
— Have construction works started on these plots?
— Currently, work is underway to prepare the foundations for the buildings. Due to the prolonged winter, which lasts about seven months, the work has been temporarily suspended. Yesterday I spoke with the entrepreneurs, and they plan to resume construction in April.
— What is the progress on the construction of the cable cars? What stage are the works at now?
— The construction is being carried out by the Austrian company Doppelmayr, which is a world leader in this field. According to the contract, the completion of the first cable car, which is 4 km long, is scheduled for May this year. In February, we signed an additional agreement, under which the second phase, also 4 km long, will be built by December. We expect to complete the first phase of the construction of the Jyrgalan town by December. The first 4-km line is almost ready, and technical tests have already been conducted. Over the next month, the system will operate in test mode, and in May we will receive it for full maintenance. In total, six cable cars will be built.
— How many lots will be offered at the next auction?
— JSC "Ala-Tuu Resort" has announced the second phase of the auction. Online bidding is scheduled for April 8-10, where the remaining 36 lots will be presented. The area of the plots will vary from 400 to 6000 square meters. It is important to note that plots for citizens of Kyrgyzstan will be transferred into private ownership with the issuance of a "red book," while foreign investors will be granted land on a 49-year lease.
— How is the construction of parking lots for the cable car cabins progressing?
— Special parking lots will be built at each station, where the cabins will be parked at the end of the workday, during strong winds, or for maintenance. Currently, two parking lots are almost completed, and the construction of four more is ahead.
— What will the infrastructure of the Jyrgalan town look like by December?
— According to the master plan, single-story wooden houses and yurts will be built in the ethnovillage. A total of 105 single-story houses and 7 two-story wooden buildings are planned. The construction of parking lots, ski rental points, and other facilities will be completed. Major facilities must be fully completed within three years according to the contract.
— Has the road to the Jyrgalan town been laid?
— The distance from Karakol to Jyrgalan is 65 km, of which 14 km is gravel road, and the rest has old asphalt. By order of President Sadyr Japarov, work has begun to expand the road to four lanes.
— How many jobs will be created after the resort opens?
— 4200 jobs will be created in the Jyrgalan town. We are conducting a phased recruitment of personnel. Earlier, 20 snowcat drivers were trained in Altai. In the coming days, a special commission in Karakol will select another 20 specialists for servicing the cable cars.
— When will construction begin at the Ak-Bulak and Boz-Uchuk resorts?
— After the completion of work in Jyrgalan, construction of the "Ak-Bulak" and "Boz-Uchuk" resorts will begin. This year we will start the design of "Ak-Bulak," determine the plots, and next year we will hold auctions.
