On April 3, a meeting took place between the Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh, Marlen Mamataliyev, and Antje Grawe, who is the UN Resident Coordinator in Kyrgyzstan.

During the conversation, Mamataliyev noted that achievements related to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals are highly regarded at the international level. "We plan to continue these efforts until 2030, and this requires significant investments," he said, adding that the parliament is actively working on fulfilling the set tasks.

Additionally, the speaker reminded that Kyrgyzstan is nominating itself for a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council.

Antje Grawe, for her part, congratulated Mamataliyev on his new position and expressed the UN's interest in further cooperation with the Kyrgyz parliament.

She also emphasized that the UN highly values Kyrgyzstan's efforts in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, calling the country a "champion" in this area and highlighting the importance of partnership for the realization of these goals.
