In Bishkek, the Acting Minister of Health Kanibek Dosmambetov unexpectedly visited the pediatric oncology department of the National Center for Maternal and Child Health. During the meeting with the parents of children suffering from cancer, he discussed key issues concerning the families of patients.
As a result of this visit, Dosmambetov issued a number of specific directives for the leadership of the NCMMH and other relevant departments of the Ministry of Health.
The "Kabar" agency highlighted the main tasks set for the leadership of medical institutions:
- increasing the efficiency of laboratory work and ensuring the availability of necessary medical tests;
- establishing a special commission for a comprehensive analysis of the activities of the Department of Pharmaceuticals and the State Enterprise "Kyrgyzpharmacia";
- optimizing logistics in the delivery of blood components;
- allocating a specialized vehicle for the transportation of blood components and other medical needs of the department;
- strengthening quality control of medications and improving procurement processes;
- providing meals for the parents of patients and creating comfortable conditions for their stay;
- purchasing children's tables;
- organizing a pharmacy point on the hospital premises;
- strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration among doctors and regularly holding consultations;
- developing a project for the construction of a specialized shelter for the temporary accommodation of parents of children with cancer from the regions.
