In 2025, a decrease in infant mortality was recorded in the republic, - Ministry of Health

In 2025, the republic registered a decrease in the number of infant mortality cases. Now this indicator stands at 13.5 per 1,000 live births, which is a 4.2% reduction compared to the previous year, according to information from the Ministry of Health.

Analysis of the causes leading to infant mortality shows that the largest number of cases is associated with perinatal conditions — 65.7% (1,224 cases). In second place are congenital anomalies, accounting for 15.5% (289 cases), and in third place are respiratory diseases, which make up 8.2% (152 cases).

However, it is worth noting that there is an increase of 28.1% in infectious and parasitic diseases.
