In his speech at the conference on December 16, Lkhanaajav emphasized that the fight against corruption is a priority for Mongolia. He pointed out that corruption threatens citizens' trust in the state, democratic governance, and fair economic competition. In his address, he also spoke about recent initiatives aimed at revitalizing the National Anti-Corruption Program, adding that 2026 will be declared the "Year of Strengthening Discipline and Accountability in Public Service" in Mongolia.

Mongolia, together with Albania, Ghana, and Norway, has initiated the creation of a resolution titled "Enhancing Transparency in the Financing of Election Candidates, Political Parties, and Electoral Campaigns." This resolution, which was adopted by the Assembly, became the first under the UN Convention against Corruption dedicated to issues of political financing transparency and calls on member states to support it.

This conference is timed to the 20th anniversary of Mongolia's ratification of the treaty, which was approved by the Great State Khural on October 27, 2005. Mongolia continues to actively exchange views with international partners in Doha on issues of regional cooperation and internal efforts to combat corruption.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Conference of States Parties to the UN Convention against Corruption is held every two years, and currently, 192 states are participating.
