Today, Mongolia celebrates the 101st anniversary of the proclamation of the Mongolian People's Republic and the adoption of its first Constitution.

According to the law "On Public Holidays and Significant Dates," November 26 has been declared a national holiday and is now celebrated every year as Independence Day.

101 years ago, a public assembly took place in the central square of Ulaanbaatar, during which the Mongolian People's Republic (MPR) was proclaimed and the first Constitution was adopted.

This event marked a significant moment in Mongolia's history, signifying the transition from monarchy to republican governance.

In 1991, the Great People's Khural, the country's parliament, decided to change the official name of the state, and with the enactment of the new Constitution on February 12, 1992, the Mongolian People's Republic became simply Mongolia.

On this festive day, under the leadership of the Prime Minister of Mongolia, a swearing-in ceremony for youth who have reached the age of 16 is held at the Government House.
