At a recent cabinet meeting, a decision was made to prohibit any increase in tariffs for all state services, including water supply, electricity supply, and heating, in 2026. This applies not only to ministers but also to department heads and governors responsible for setting tariffs.
Previously, the Energy Regulation Committee had proposed an 85% increase in heating tariffs in 2024. However, considering the potential rise in inflation, it was decided to temporarily suspend any price increases until 2025, depending on the level of inflation.
Despite the previously announced plans by officials to raise prices for the specified services in 2026, the government has nonetheless limited the growth of electricity and heating tariffs.
