The reduction in tariffs affects households, which, according to the study, are categorized by electricity consumption: 45% of the 788 thousand households in the country use up to 150 kWh per month, 40% use from 150 to 300 kWh, and 15% exceed 300 kWh.
At the government meeting on February 6, 2025, changes were made to the existing rules, extending the duration of the night discount. Previously, it was in effect from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM, but since February of last year, the time frame has been changed to 9:00 AM.
Additionally, the maximum electricity consumption limit has been doubled. Now, households with a voltage of 220 volts will be able to receive a discount on 1500 kWh, while those using 380 volts will receive a discount of up to 3000 kWh per month.
Night tariffs will continue to apply for households in yurt areas, and the tariff for those in need of social support and assistance will also remain.
