The hurricane named "Melissa" struck Jamaica, becoming the strongest hurricane ever recorded on the island. Wind gusts reached 295 kilometers per hour, leading to severe flooding, landslides, and infrastructure damage. More than 530,000 households were left without electricity.

According to reports from international news agencies, at least seven people have died due to the storm. As a result, Jamaica has been declared a disaster zone, and damage assessments are currently underway, along with recovery efforts.
Crocodiles have been spotted along the coast emerging from flooded habitats, and local residents are being warned of the potential danger.
According to meteorologists, Hurricane "Melissa" remains at category 5 and is moving towards the eastern coast of Cuba. More than 735,000 people have been evacuated in the country. In the next 24 hours, the hurricane is expected to reach the Bahamas, where a storm warning has already been issued.

According to the World Meteorological Organization, "Melissa" has become the most destructive hurricane in Jamaica in the 21st century. Experts attribute its extraordinary strength to the rising temperatures of the Caribbean Sea.
