At a press conference in the White House, Trump commented on the possibility of capturing Putin in response to a journalist's question. This inquiry arose against the backdrop of the recent successful operation by the U.S. to capture Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro, which, according to the correspondent, the whole world was watching.

Vladimir Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, had previously stated that if such actions are effective against dictators, then Washington has clear plans for further steps.

The journalist asked Trump a direct question about whether he was ready to give the order to capture Putin.

In response, Trump said, "I don't see the need for that. I've always had good relations with him."

According to the American president, Putin "does not fear Europe, but he fears the U.S. under my leadership." He added that "Europe is lagging behind and needs to get its act together."

Discussing the situation with the conflict in Ukraine, Trump expressed confidence that the war would ultimately be resolved. "I hope it happens much sooner, as many people, mostly soldiers, are losing their lives," he noted.

It is worth recalling that on January 3, the U.S. conducted an operation in Venezuela, resulting in the capture of Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores. Two days later, they were charged in New York with "narcoterrorism," conspiracy to import cocaine into the U.S., and illegal possession of weapons. Maduro and Flores pleaded not guilty; the next court hearing is scheduled for March 17.

Additionally, in an interview with Fox News, Trump mentioned plans to conduct a ground operation in Mexico aimed at drug cartels, which, he said, effectively control the country.
