Donald Trump expressed doubts about reports that Ukrainian drones attacked Vladimir Putin's residence in Valdai. In an interview with journalists aboard his plane, the U.S. president stated that he does not believe these claims to be true. A video of his comments was posted by the White House press office.

He noted: "I don't believe that actually happened. Something happened nearby, but it has nothing to do with this incident."

Journalists reminded Trump that he had previously expressed confidence in the information about the attack after speaking with Putin.

The American leader explained: "At that time, no one knew exactly what had happened. I first heard about it from him when he said that his house had been attacked. However, we do not believe that it happened after conducting our own investigation."

As reported by Moscow, 91 Ukrainian drones attempted to carry out an attack on Putin's residence. The Kremlin claims that the Russian president informed Trump about this during a phone call on December 29. In response, Trump told reporters that he was "very angry" and that "this is not the time for such actions." Ukraine, for its part, denied the information about an attempted attack, and the CIA reached a similar conclusion after conducting its own investigation.
