In his address, Zelensky also noted: “Russian missiles and drones, as well as attempts to destroy our country, are clear evidence that Russia does not want peace agreements. If Ukrainians suffer from power outages for 20-30 hours because of Russia, this is the main direction of pressure on Moscow. I express my gratitude to everyone who supports Ukraine in this matter. We will actively pursue our diplomatic efforts, both at official and unofficial levels,” he stated.
In an interview with Reuters, Trump claimed that Russian President Vladimir Putin is “ready for a deal,” adding that “Ukraine is less ready for negotiations.” When asked what is preventing the end of hostilities, he replied: “Zelensky.”
Trump's statement found support in the Kremlin. Russian President's Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov stated: “One can agree with Trump’s opinion. Indeed, the situation for the Kyiv regime is deteriorating, and the corridor for decision-making is narrowing. It is time for Zelensky to take responsibility and take the necessary steps.”
