Lukashenko emphasized that maintaining ties between Belarus and Kazakhstan is extremely important, as no country can develop in complete isolation. He highlighted the similarity of the two countries' views on global development and proposed to actively develop interregional cooperation based on trust and shared experience.
Addressing trade issues, the president noted that trade turnover between the states has already exceeded 1 billion dollars, but there are opportunities for further growth. "We possess high technologies and are ready to supply not only goods but also to open joint production in Kazakhstan, taking into account the needs of your country," Lukashenko said.
Speaking about supplies, he pointed to the readiness to provide not only machines, such as BelAZ trucks, but also agricultural machinery, including combines and grain harvesters, which can operate effectively on large areas in Kazakhstan. Lukashenko suggested demonstrating the operation of Belarusian machinery in the fields and training local specialists, emphasizing its advantages over foreign analogues.
The president added that Belarus produces more goods than it can consume and is focused on exporting surpluses, including machinery and agricultural products that are in demand in Kazakhstan.
Lukashenko also recalled the cooperation with Kazakh specialists since Soviet times when he worked in agricultural enterprises. He expressed hope for the active involvement of Kazakh parliamentarians, particularly Koshанов, in promoting economic ties between the countries, emphasizing the importance of developing personnel and joint work.
“We are counting on you, especially after this visit. We are open to cooperation in all areas,” the president of Belarus concluded.
