
Issues of inter-parliamentary cooperation were discussed
Recently, a meeting took place between Ruslan Kazakbaev, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Turkey, and Abdullah Güler, a deputy and leader of the Justice and Development Party faction in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. The event was also attended by Yusuf Beyazıt, a deputy and head of the inter-parliamentary friendship group "Turkey–Kyrgyzstan".
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the discussions, Kazakbaev provided the Turkish side with information about the political and economic reforms taking place in Kyrgyzstan and shared the results of the recent parliamentary elections.
During the negotiations, directions for strengthening inter-parliamentary and inter-party cooperation were considered, as well as opportunities for expanding trade and economic ties, and cultural and humanitarian interaction between the two states.
In addition, organizational issues regarding mutual high-level visits and cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey at multilateral forums, including the Organization of Turkic States, were discussed. The Kyrgyz side emphasized the need for the prompt entry into force of previously concluded bilateral agreements.
