According to the Telegram channel Baza, citing its sources, the messenger Telegram may be completely unavailable in Russia starting April 1. It is indicated that the application will cease to function both on mobile networks and through wired internet.
So far, there has been no official confirmation of this information. Representatives of Roskomnadzor stated that they cannot provide any new data on this issue and did not confirm the date of a possible shutdown.
Previously, the regulator had already mentioned the introduction of restrictions for Telegram and emphasized that pressure on the platform would continue until the requirements of Russian legislation are met. However, the decision for a complete block starting April 1 has not been officially announced.
