
According to information provided by the police, both detainees were aware of their HIV status since December 2025 and were registered with medical institutions. Nevertheless, they continued to offer paid intimate services, posing as transgender individuals.
“In connection with this fact, a criminal case has been initiated on the grounds of HIV infection by a person who was aware of their diagnosis,” law enforcement agencies noted.
The prosecution is being carried out under the article concerning the intentional infection of another person with HIV, with a maximum penalty of up to 10 years in prison.
The suspects have been placed in a temporary detention facility, and the investigation is currently determining the circle of victims and all the circumstances of the case. Each incident will be subject to legal assessment.
