Reuters: The war in the Middle East has led to a collapse of air travel, leaving tens of thousands of tourists stranded at airports

According to the news agency Reuters, key transit airports such as Dubai and Abu Dhabi in the UAE, as well as Doha in Qatar, have been affected by the closure of airspace following military actions by the US and Israel, during which the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed.

The situation has impacted not only the Middle East: tens of thousands of travelers have found themselves in difficult circumstances in remote locations such as Bali, Kathmandu, and Frankfurt. According to data from the flight tracking service FlightAware, thousands of flights have been canceled or diverted, and airspace over Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Israel, Bahrain, the UAE, and Qatar has remained virtually inactive, as shown by Flightradar24 maps.
