The Israeli army has launched extensive attacks on Tehran and Beirut, as reported by the IDF press service via their Telegram channel. The official statement mentions the beginning of large-scale air operations against the Iranian regime and the terrorist organization "Hezbollah."
On the night of March 3, Israeli military forces reported bombings in Beirut, where the main targets were command posts and arms depots of "Hezbollah." In response to these actions, the group characterized the aggression as unacceptable and confirmed that it would not remain without a reaction.
According to information provided by the "Al-Mayadeen" television channel, among the targets hit were the offices of "Al-Manar" and the "Al-Nour" radio station. Meanwhile, "Al-Manar" continued its broadcast.
Later, the IDF reported that Lebanon responded to the attacks by launching five rockets towards Israel. Some of the rockets were successfully intercepted by the air defense system, while others fell in uninhabited areas, as stated in a statement from the Israel Defense Forces, which is quoted by the Times of Israel.
Earlier, on the eve of these events, the Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces, Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, announced the start of a military operation against "Hezbollah," noting that the country should prepare for prolonged combat actions.
