
According to the latest data from seismologists, the epicenter of this seismic event was located in the Pacific Ocean, near the Kamchatka region. Strong underground tremors were recorded using seismic instruments.
The officially clarified magnitude ranged from 5.8 to 6.0, and the tremors occurred at a depth of about 40 km, 235 km from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, reported representatives of the geophysical service.
At the same time, no official warnings about a possible tsunami threat were issued.
