
On March 8, more than 300 people returned to Tajikistan. The first 130 citizens of the country arrived in Dushanbe on a morning flight from Dubai, and later another 180 people landed on board the Somon Air airline.
As journalists from "Asia-Plus" found out, the organization of the charter flight was assisted by the Tajikistan Embassy in the UAE, local authorities, and the airline Fly Dubai, as reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan.
The second flight operated by Somon Air brought 178 passengers from Al Maktoum Airport in Dubai, among whom were foreigners. The plane landed in Dushanbe around 16:00, as clarified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In the context of the conflict in the Middle East, about 550 people returned to Tajikistan on charter flights from Abu Dhabi and Dubai, provided by the airlines Somon Air and Fly Dubai.
Earlier, Tajik authorities instructed Somon Air to organize the evacuation of citizens from Middle Eastern countries.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also urged citizens wishing to return home to contact the diplomatic missions and consular offices of Tajikistan for information and registration.
