As a result of the evacuation, there were 142 passengers on board the Air Astana flight that arrived from Medina in Aktau at 21:28. In addition, three additional flights from Medina and Jeddah brought 145, 174, and 179 people to Atyrau, respectively.
The airline Scat also organized a flight from Almaty to Muscat and back on a Boeing 767 aircraft, which accommodates about 290 passengers.
To date, 946 citizens have returned to Kazakhstan.
On February 28, an attack by Israel and the USA occurred on Iranian territory, which led to missile strikes from Iran on six countries, including the UAE and Qatar. As a result of the shelling, Dubai Airport and one of the local five-star hotels were damaged.
In connection with the situation, the aviation administration of Kazakhstan imposed a complete ban on flights over Iran, Israel, Syria, Iraq, Jordan, and Lebanon. On March 3, the first planes from Dubai arrived in Astana and Almaty after the suspension of flights.
