During a meeting with the Prime Minister of Qatar, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Fidan emphasized that attacks on Qatar, which has acted as a mediator in negotiations, are unacceptable. He noted that such actions are "completely undeserved" and condemned the attacks that threaten the lives of civilians and target civilian infrastructure.

According to the minister, Turkey has always supported its brotherly partner Qatar and intends to continue doing so. "We reject and condemn any acts of violence that violate the safety of peaceful residents," he said, adding that such attacks cannot be justified.

Fidan also pointed out that the current conflict poses a threat to the security of all countries in the region. In this regard, he mentioned his recent trip to Riyadh, where he expressed solidarity with the states that have become targets of attacks. During negotiations in Saudi Arabia, the parties agreed to strive for a ceasefire and a diplomatic resolution to the crisis.

The Turkish Foreign Minister also did not overlook who he believes is the main culprit of the current war, pointing to Israel. He stated, "It should be clear that Israel is the main culprit of the crisis that has engulfed our region."

Fidan added that the strikes, which began during diplomatic efforts, have turned the entire territory into a "huge battlefield" and undermined stability on a global level. In this context, he emphasized the need to remind Iran of its "historical responsibility."

It is worth noting that on February 28, the United States and Israel began airstrikes against Iran, which led to retaliatory actions from Tehran — it started attacking neighboring Gulf states as well as Israel using missiles and drones. Iran claims that its targets included American military bases in the region.

Additionally, during the attacks, oil storage facilities in the Persian Gulf, oil tankers, as well as facilities in Azerbaijan and Cyprus, which is part of the European Union, were affected.

Against the backdrop of military operations, Tehran has effectively closed the Strait of Hormuz, declaring "full control" over it, which has contributed to rising energy prices.
